The easiest way to get to Pylos from Athens is a 2h45m drive, most of which via highway.
By plane
Kalamata Airport (KLX) is directly connected to various destinations in Europe such as the UK , Italy, Austria, Germany and Switzerland. There are also direct flights to/from Thessaloniki. The trip from Kalamata Airport to Pylos by car/taxi takes approximately 45 minutes.
